About
A small tool for small crews, built by one person
Wrenchlist exists because a lot of businesses run on texts and whiteboards, and the software meant to replace them often asks for a lot more than they have to give.
Why another work order tool
Work orders are simple. Someone needs something done, someone is responsible, there's a date, and eventually it's finished. The tools that manage them tend to grow into everything else: dispatching, marketing, payroll, financing. That's useful for some companies and a heavy lift for the rest.
Wrenchlist stays on the first part. It's a clear list of jobs with owners and due dates, a dashboard that tells you what's late, and paperwork you can hand to a customer. I'd rather it do those things well than appear on a feature checklist.
How it's run
Wrenchlist is independent and run by one founder. Payments go through Polar. There are no investors to impress and no ad network to feed, so the product answers to the people who pay for it.
What's honest about where it is
The app stores data in your browser today, which means no sync between devices yet. Cloud sync, shared workspaces and a hosted request form are on the roadmap, running on a server I'll operate myself. Until they ship, they aren't promised features, and the pricing page tells you what's live.
