Service calls, tune-ups and installs
HVAC work order software built around the service call
No-cool calls in July and no-heat calls in January don't wait for software to load. Wrenchlist is an HVAC work order app built for the dispatcher's view: who's rolling, what's urgent, and what's about to go overdue.
Free to start. No card, no account.

Shaped around how HVAC work actually flows
Field management for a small HVAC shop
Not a feature checklist. These are the moments in an HVAC week where a clear work order saves a callback.
Triage by urgency
A rooftop unit down in a dental office is urgent; a filter swap is not. Four priority levels keep the right call at the top of the list.
Equipment in the notes
Write the make, model, tonnage and what's already been tried in the notes. The next tech doesn't start from zero.
Maintenance agreements
On Pro, quarterly and monthly visits re-create themselves when you close them, so the agreement customers pay for never slips.
Photos of the data plate
Attach pictures of nameplates and failed parts on Pro. They print on the PDF and settle warranty questions later.
Sign-off on site
Capture the customer's signature on the job so "we never approved that" is a short conversation.
A free HVAC ticket
Prefer paper on the truck? The HVAC work order template is free, with refrigerant and readings fields.
Peak season
When twelve calls land before lunch
Summer afternoons are when dispatch breaks. Everything is urgent, the techs are in different parts of town and the phone keeps ringing.
Put each call into a work order as it comes in, assign it, and let the dashboard sort the rest. Overdue jobs light up red, the workload bars show who can absorb one more, and you stop holding the whole schedule in your head.

What HVAC field management software should and shouldn't promise
Wrenchlist doesn't do GPS dispatch, flat-rate pricebooks or load calculations. It won't talk to your refrigerant tracking system either. If your shop needs those, you're shopping for a bigger platform, and there are good ones.
What it does do is replace the clipboard, the whiteboard and the group text with one reliable list. For many one-to-ten-truck shops that's the missing piece, and it costs nothing to find out.
Questions people actually ask
Is there an HVAC work order app I can use on my phone?
Yes. The app is responsive and runs in your phone's browser. Technicians see each job as a card with status, priority, customer and due date.
Can I track equipment and warranties?
Not as structured fields yet. Record make, model, serial number and warranty notes in the job notes, and attach a data-plate photo on Pro.
Does it handle maintenance agreements?
Recurring jobs on Pro repeat weekly, monthly or quarterly, which covers the typical seasonal tune-up schedule.
Is there a free HVAC work order template?
Yes. The HVAC work order template is free to print or download as CSV, with fields for equipment, refrigerant and readings.
