Installs, service calls and panel work

Electrical job management software that keeps permits and punch lists straight

Electrical work has more "don't forget" than most trades: permits, inspections, panel capacity, a second visit for the rough-in. Wrenchlist gives each job a place to hold those details and a due date that doesn't forget.

Free to start. No card, no account.

For electrical contractors

Where the details live

  • Permit and inspection notes

Write whether a permit is required, who pulls it and when the inspection is booked. The job carries the answer for whoever's on it.

  • Panel and circuit details

Capture panel size, free slots and circuit labels in notes. The next tech doesn't have to reopen the panel to find out.

  • Service call to install

Quote visits, rough-ins and finishes are separate jobs with separate due dates, all searchable by the customer's name.

  • Photos before the wall closes

On Pro, attach panel and rough-in photos to the work order. They're evidence if anyone asks what was behind the drywall.

  • Customer sign-off

A signature on completion keeps scope disputes short.

  • Annual and periodic testing

Emergency lighting and safety checks repeat on a schedule with recurring jobs on Pro.

A GFCI job, start to finish

Four outlets, two visits, one record

Take a garage with no protected circuits. Create the job, add the panel notes (two free slots, permit check first), assign your electrician and set the date. If the permit slows things, change the due date and the job's status stays honest.

When the work's done, close it with notes on what you tested. If the homeowner calls in six months, search their name and the whole story is there.

Not a code or estimating tool

Wrenchlist doesn't do load calculations, material takeoffs or quoting. It tracks the work you've already agreed to do. If your estimating lives in a spreadsheet or another app, keep it there and link the job number across.

Questions people actually ask

Can I manage permits in the app?

There isn't a dedicated permit field. Use the notes on the job for permit numbers and inspection dates, and search them later.

Is it suitable for a solo electrician?

Yes. The free plan is built for one or two people: unlimited jobs, a dashboard of what's due and printable paperwork.

Can I send quotes?

Not yet. Wrenchlist tracks the job once it's agreed. You can export a PDF work order on Pro.

Where's my data stored?

In your browser on your device. Export a CSV regularly if you want a backup.
