Plan the week, then run the day
Job management software for contractors who juggle five sites
A job management app earns its keep when you're not at the desk. Wrenchlist gives you a single list of every job, who's on it and when it's due, so a quick look at your phone replaces three calls.
Free to start. No card, no account.

Balance the load before someone burns out
The Crew workload panel counts each technician's active jobs side by side. If one person is carrying six and another has one, you see it in a glance and can move a job before it turns into a late one.
Filtering by technician shows exactly what a person has on their plate, ordered by what's due first.
- Active jobs per technician on the Overview
- Filter any list by a single person
- Urgent and high-priority work sorts forward
The parts of a job that matter
Everything a job needs, nothing it doesn't
Scope and notes
A clear title, a notes field for access and parts, and the customer's name on every order.
Dates that mean something
Due dates drive the overdue flag, the sort order and the "needs attention" list.
Assignments you can change
Reassign in one edit when a tech calls in sick, and the workload view updates with it.
Repeat jobs on Pro
Service contracts and routine inspections re-create themselves when you close them.
Where this fits, and where it stops
Wrenchlist covers the tracking half of job management: creating, assigning, dating and closing work. It doesn't do estimating, invoicing, payroll or route planning. Plenty of small contractors already have an accounting tool they like. What they lack is a clean board for the work itself, and that's the gap this fills.
If you need quotes and card payments in the same tool, look at the Jobber alternative comparison to see where we overlap and where we deliberately don't.
Questions people actually ask
What's the difference between a job management app and a work order app?
In a small business they're the same thing: a list of jobs with owners, dates and statuses. Wrenchlist uses "work order" because that's the term many trades and facilities teams use.
Can I schedule jobs on a calendar?
Jobs have due dates and sort by them. A drag-and-drop calendar view isn't built yet.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The app is responsive, so the table turns into cards on a phone. It runs in the mobile browser; there's no separate app to install.
Can I invoice from it?
Not today. Export a PDF or CSV of a job and use your existing invoicing tool.
