Handyman work order template for odd jobs and small repairs

Handyman work is a mix: a door that sticks, a shelf to hang, a faucet to swap. This template keeps a multi-task visit organised with a checklist and per-task notes.

Keeping a multi-task visit from turning into a mystery bill

The risk with handyman visits is scope creep: you came for the shelf and ended up fixing three other things. Listing each task at the start, and noting any added ones as you go, makes the final bill easy to explain.

Write down who supplies the materials. It's the most common source of "I thought that was included".

Price by task or by hour, but say which

Write whichever you agreed beside the task list.

Photos help

A quick before-and-after photo of each repair protects you and impresses the customer. In the app, Pro lets you attach them to the job.

Tired of re-typing the same details?

Keep these jobs in the free work order app instead. Assign a technician, set a due date and see what's overdue, without printing anything.

Template questions

What should a handyman work order include?

Customer and address, a task list, who supplies materials, access notes, time and cost, and a sign-off.

Can I use the same form for several small jobs in one visit?

Yes. The task section has room for six items; use the notes for extra detail.

Do I need a work order for small jobs?

For anything beyond a few minutes, yes. A short record avoids disagreements and makes repeat customers easier to serve.

Is there a handyman app?

The work order app works well for solo handymen: free, with a due date and notes per job.
